What happens after an inquest

The Coroner’s Office will send relevant paperwork to the Registration Office. The Coroner will register the death and then you will need to apply for the final death certificate.

We ask you to wait five working days after the inquest to apply for the certificate to allow time for the paperwork to be sent over to the office.
