Where can I park?

At Stoke Town Hall, the closest car park is the Kingsway, situated on Kingsway Road which is less than a 5-minute walk to the Civic Centre entrance.
 
At County Buildings in Stafford, the Waterfront Car Park is a 10-15-minute walk.

Is there disabled access?

We have a disabled entrance at the Stoke Town Hall on the left side of the building facing the Kingsway carpark. If you require this entrance, then please let us know before your attendance.

Who will greet me at an inquest?

Following on from your confirmation of attendance either a Volunteer or a member of our Coroner’s Team will greet you when you arrive. If arriving at Stoke Town Hall, please report to the Civic Centre reception and advise the reception staff you are here to attend an inquest.

How can I obtain an audio recording of the inquest?

If you wish to have an audio recording of the final hearing, then please either let us know before or notify the Officer on the day.

How can I challenge a conclusion?

Challenges to a Coroner’s decision or the conclusion of an inquest must be made as part of a Judicial Review which may involve an application to the Attorney General and the High Court. 

How do I make a complaint about the Coroner’s Service?

In the event of a complaint please contact the Coroner’s Office directly on staffordshireandstokecoroners@stoke.gov.uk and detail your concerns in writing.
